Biographical Information

Jeff Carsley played for Team USA and in the minors and Italy.

He helped Team USA win Silver in the 1975 Pan American Games. He set UC Riverside records for runs (59), hits (102), average (.416), RBI (58) and total bases (143) in a season and also set career run and average (.394) records at the school, helping them win the 1977 Division II College World Series. He was All-American at catcher that year. He hit .243/.295/.272 for the 1978 Dunedin Blue Jays, fielding .912 at third base, backing up Dave Baker. In 1979, he played for Torino in Italy. He hit .369/.444/.691 with 11 HR and 50 RBI in 36 games, fielding .918 at the hot corner. He led the league in RBI, one ahead of Arthur Fischetti.
