Biographical Information[edit]
Jeff Carsley played for Team USA and in the minors and Italy.
He helped Team USA win Silver in the 1975 Pan American Games. [1] He set UC Riverside records for runs (59), hits (102), average (.416), RBI (58) and total bases (143) in a season and also set career run and average (.394) records at the school, helping them win the 1977 Division II College World Series. [2] He was All-American at catcher that year. [3] He hit .243/.295/.272 for the 1978 Dunedin Blue Jays, fielding .912 at third base, backing up Dave Baker. In 1979, he played for Torino in Italy. He hit .369/.444/.691 with 11 HR and 50 RBI in 36 games, fielding .918 at the hot corner. He led the league in RBI, one ahead of Arthur Fischetti. [4]
