Biographical Information[edit]
J. Con Maloney was majority owner of the Jackson Mets (1982-1990) and Jackson Generals (1991-1998) and held some minority ownership roles. He was also interim Texas League president in 1990-1991 after Carl Sawatski died. He also had been a Mississippi state senator from 1971-1987. In 2014, he was inducted into the Texas League Hall of Fame. His son Chris Maloney was a major league coach.
