Biographical Information[edit]
J.T. Bruett was signed by the Minnesota Twins and scout Angelo Giuliani as an 11th round pick in the 1988 amateur draft. He saw action during parts of the 1992 and 1993 seasons with the Twins. In 73 games and 96 at bats, he batted .250/.314/.313 with 6 steals. Bruett played for the Omaha Royals in 1995 and the St. Paul Saints of the Northern League in 1996. He ranks second on the all-time University of Minnesota list for stolen bases.
Bruett was an assistant coach at University of Illinois at Chicago from 1999-2001. He worked in the compliance department for University of Minnesota from 2002 to 2015 before becoming Director of the McNamara Academic Center in July 2015 [1].
