Biographical Information[edit]

I-Teng Lin played in the US minors and the CPBL. His nephews Cheng-Chun Yang, Chiang-Sen Yang and Tai-Chun Yang played in the CPBL.

Lin represented Taiwan in the 2010 World Junior Championship, hitting .250/.304/.250. The Cleveland Indians signed him with a $150,000 signing bonus in 2010, and he hit .143/.200/.245 for the AZL Indians in 2011. Lin only played 16 games in the AZL with a .250/.372/.306 batting line in 2012, then he was released. After playing with amateur teams for 7 years, the Wei Chuan Dragons selected him in the 28th round of the 2019 CPBL Draft. Lin hit .258/.350/.355 in the CPBL minors in 2020, and he had a .225/.282/.366 batting line in 2021. He had a severe right elbow injury in 2022, and he missed the entire season. The Dragons released him after the 2022 season, and his professional career ended.
