Hull, QC
Hull was formerly located in western Quebec, Canada, on the Ottawa River, across which lies Ottawa, ON. In 2002, Hull merged with four other cities to form the city of Gatineau, QC. Before World War II, certain Ottawa-based teams used to cross the river to Hull to play Sunday home games, as these were allowed in Quebec, but not in the more puritan province of Ontario.
