Biographical Information[edit]

Pete Laforest, also known as Pierre-Luc LaForest did not speak English until after he signed with the Montreal Expos in 1995. In the 2006 Americas qualifier for the 2008 Olympics, Laforest hit .323/.462/.516 with 7 walks in 9 games for Team Canada.

Laforest joined the Capitales de Québec for 2009, joining former big-leaguer Eric Gagné in the provincial capital. He was known there as "Le Bombardier du Stade Municipal" (The Municipal Stadium bomber). In 2013 he was appointed as manager of the re-formed Trois-Rivières Aigles.
