Denis Casavant
Denis Casavant has been a radio and TV sports reporter in Canada, working for RDS. Born in Hull, QC, he worked as a sports reporter for a radio station in that city before joining RDS upon its founding in 1989. He partnered with Rodger Brulotte in broadcasting Montreal Expos games on television from 1989 until the team left for Washington after the 2004 season, and continued to work on major league baseball games since.
One of the most respected sports broadcasters of his generation, he has also worked on telecasts of football (both the Canadian Football League and National Football League) and various Olympic Games, and has also been co-host of a morning show on one of Montreal's English-language sports radios.
Like Jacques Doucet he is known for his sober and precise style in describing games, using an extensive vocabulary and precise French terminology.
