Biographical Information[edit]

Third baseman Herschel Bobo played in the minor leagues from 1921 to 1940. He hit .298 in 1896 games, with 101 HR and 260 SB. He led the Cotton States League with 91 runs in 1924, 17 HR in 1925, and 103 runs in 1931. He was head coach of Alabama Polytechnic Institute in 1934-1935.
