Biographical Information[edit]
During World War I, Hank Severeid was in the tanks division. He was sent over to Europe, although he did not see any combat duty.
After his playing days, he managed for four years in the St. Louis Browns minor league system (1932-1935) and for two years for independent teams (1936-1937), worked in the Cincinnati Reds farm system (1938-1940), and scouted for the Chicago Cubs (1943) and Boston Red Sox (1944-1968).
