Team History[edit]
The Galveston Buccaneers began play in the Texas League in 1931 when the Waco Cubs relocated to Galveston, Texas. The team captured the league championship in 1934 but moved again after the 1937 season, becoming the Shreveport Sports.
For their entire existence, the Buccaneers played their home games at Moody Stadium.
