Gunawan Pandu Khallista pitched for the Indonesian national team in the 2015 Asian Championship. He led the team with four appearances in their five contests, only skipping the opener against Pakistan. He pitched against Taiwan (2/3 IP, 1 H, 1 UER), Japan (3 H, BB, 2 R, K in 1 IP), China (5 H, BB, 4 R, K in 2/3 IP) and South Korea (3 H, 2 BB, 1 K, 2 R in 5 IP against the Gold Medalists when his teammates allowed 13 runs). Khallista's 9.82 ERA wound up being best on the Indonesian staff of all pitchers who worked more than an inning; the team ERA was 18.30.
In the 2018 Asian Games, he had a 21.60 ERA in three outings, facing Hong Kong (2 2/3 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 K), South Korea (0 IP, 4 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 1 HB against the Gold Medalists) and Pakistan (2 1/3 IP, 4 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, 3 K). In each game, he relieved Nanda Dwi Saputra. Among Indonesia's hurlers, he was 5th among the 8 on the staff in ERA, ahead of Chindy Patria Yudharana, Rawafi Yaputra Yanto Rozali and Ramon Setiyono.
