Biographical Information[edit]

Greg Lane has pitched in the independent minor leagues.

Collegiate[edit]

Greg started two games, and played in ten for Hofstra University in 2005 before transferring to Binghamton University. After sitting out the 2006 season, in 2007 and 2008, Greg was named to the America East Conference All-Star team with the Bearcats.

Minors[edit]

In 2009, Lane pitched for the Sussex Skyhawks in the Canadian-American Association where he appeared in 21 games. He was 1-2 with two saves and a 3.48 ERA.

Starting out in 2010, Lane pitched on the staff for the Lincoln Saltdogs of the American Association where he appeared in 13 games. On June 26th, the Normal CornBelters obtained Greg in a trade with the Saltdogs for a player to be named later. In his first appearance for the CornBelters, he pitched a scoreless 9th inning on June 29th against the Oakland County Cruisers. On August 11th, Greg pitched the final 2 outs against the Lake Erie Crushers in the 9th inning without giving up any runs to earn his only save for the CornBelters. Lane finished the 2010 season with an 0-4 record and 1 save with a 3.99 ERA while striking out 13 and walking 8.
