Great Southwest Athletic Conference
The Great Southwest Athletic Conference is an NAIA conference with members located in California and Arizona. Formed in 1986 as the Golden State Athletic Conference, the conference rebranded in 2024.
The GSAC holds a conference tournament every year since 2009.
California Baptist University moves to the NCAA Division II Pacific West Conference in 2011-2012, while Azusa Pacific University, Fresno Pacific University, and Point Loma Nazarene University will follow in 2012-2013.
Westmont College will start transition to the NCAA Division II Pacific West Conference in 2023-2024 while Jessup University, Menlo College, & Vanguard University are planned to follow in 2024-2025. Benedictine University at Mesa, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (AZ), and Park University Gilbert will join the GSAC in the 2024-2025 school year. University of Saint Katherine had planned to join as well, but shut down in July 2024. At the same time, the conference rebranded as the Great Southwest Athletic Conference to reflect the greater number of schools outside California.
