Glenn Mareels has pitched for the Belgian national team.

Mareels made his First Division debut with the 2011 Borgerhout Squirrels, going 2-2 with a 9.00 ERA and 2.32 WHIP. In '12, he improved to 2-0, 2.79 for the Squirrels. He pitched one inning for Belgium in the 2012 European Championship; with a 11-3 deficit against the Czech Republic, he relieved Yannick Sel in the 8th. Jakub Sládek reached on an erro, then Mareels threw a wild pitch while walking Pavel Budský on four pitches. Basilio Hernandez popped up, but Matěj Hejma singled. Michal Ondráček hit into a run-scoring force to make it 12-3. Petr Baroch coaxed a walk to reload the bases, then Mareels struck out Martin Schneider to end the inning.
