Gideon Lim represented Singapore in the 2022 Asian Games (held in 2023 after delays due to COVID-19), and he pitched 2/3 of a shutout inning with 2 walks against Thailand. He closed out the game, relieving Edward Yi Chen Chuang with the bases loaded and one out. He walked Yotsaphol Artdee to force in a run, then walked Yodsaphan Sae Wa to make it 16-0. Sitthichok Aunmueang hit a sacrifice fly then got Kittipong Thonglor to fly out to end it. While he only worked 2/3 IP, he was still third on Singapore's staff, as Eleazar Jie Xian Ng and Ryota Wong worked a combined 14 1/3 of their 15 innings - their other two hurlers, Chuang and Hans Benno Pereira, failed to record outs. ^[1]
