Biographical Information

Gabriel Hernández pitched for the Puerto Rican national team in the 2015 Premier 12. He debuted against Canada, and he struck out Sean Jamieson then Nick Valenza relieved him. Hernandez next replaced Fernando Gonzalez in the 2nd inning against the Netherlands, and he allowed 4 runs in 2/3 of an inning. In the quarterfinal versus Japan, he succeeded Miguel Martinez and retired the first three batters he faced. However, Hernandez gave up a run with 2 singles and a walk in the next inning, then José Carlos Burgos relieved him; Puerto Rico lost in that game.
