Biographical Information

Fernando Gonzalez has pitched for the Puerto Rican national team and in the independent leagues.

Gonzalez pitched for the Gary SouthShore RailCats in 2015, and he was 3-1 with a 4.14 ERA there. He then represented Puerto Rico in the 2015 Premier 12. Gonzalez relieved Andrés Santiago in the 8th inning against Italy, and he pitched a inning while allowing a RBI double to Erick Epifano. He then started against the Netherlands, and he walked 3 and surrendered 4 runs in an inning; Shairon Martis got the win over him. Gonzalez also pitched 4 games for the Criollos de Caguas in 2018-2019 season, and his ERA was 2.70. He was an assistant coach for Thomas University from 2021 to 2023, and he moved to Spring Hill College in 2024.
