Freddy Cepeda Jr. pitched for Guam in the 2011 Pacific Games. He threw a five-inning mercy rule no-hitter to beat Fiji's Thomas Gibbons. His only walk was to Inoke Niubalavu to open the game, but three errors allowed a run in the 4th. Guam won the Silver Medal. Cepeda was 5th in the round-robin in ERA (Joshua Jones, Elton Santos, Remi Couarraze and Roke Alcantara Jr. also had 0s, but in more innings), 1st in opponent average obviously (.067 ahead of Jones) and tied Sanail Colainima and Jacques Levy for 7th in Ks. In the Gold Medal Game, he faced another Cepeda, Vince Cepeda of the Northern Mariana Islands. He allowed 5 runs (4 earned) in 4 1/3 IP; Alexander Cruz relieved. Cepeda took the loss, Joshua Jones getting the win for the Northern Mariana Islands.
