Biographical Information[edit]
Frank Sancet played in the minor leagues in 1930 and 1937-1938.
Sancet coached at Mansfield Junior High in Tucson, Jerome High School for five years and Douglas High School for five years. He then moved to the University of Arizona in 1947 as assistant baseball and football coach, and freshman football and basketball coach. He was head baseball coach at Arizona from 1950 to 1972 when he was essentialy forced to retire due to age. Under his leadership, the team went 835-282-8. He also coached boxing. He was supposed to coach for Team USA in the 1969 Amateur World Series but became ill and was replaced by Ron Fraser.
