Frank Parker Jr.

Frank Parker Jr. is the son of Frank Parker Sr., who played on the British national team in some exhibitions in the 1960s. Frank Jr. played baseball and was also a professional rugby player.

Frank was with the British national team in exhibitions in 1980 and 1983. He was with them for the 1984 B-Pool European Championship and a 1990 exhibition in Florida, going 2 for 5 with 3 runs and 5 RBI. In the 1991 European Championship, he handled 28 chances error-free at first base and was 1 for 10 at the plate. He was 6 for 12 with a homer in the 1992 B-Pool European Championship.

In the 1994 B-Pool European Championship, he hit .368 and slugged .737 with 9 RBI in 6 games. He tied for the team lead in RBI. His .429 mark in the 1996 B-Pool European Championship led Great Britain. He was 3 for 11 with a double, run and two RBI in the 1997 European Championship. His 19 RBI for Britain tied Mark Vickers for 4th in national team history (through 2020), and his 3 homers tied Sam Wiley for 3rd. He was named to the British Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022 in a class with Brian Holland, Richard Klijn, Stephan Rapaglia, Ryan Trask and Doreen Megson.
