Doreen Megson
Doreen Megson was the first known woman to pass the umpire's exam in England, doing so in 1953, when she was in her 20s. She later was part of the technical commission at two European Championships and secretary of the Humberside League. She played in the first international softball game in Britain. She was part of the 2022 class of the British Baseball Hall of Fame alongside Brian Holland, Richard Klijn, Frank Parker Jr., Stephan Rapaglia and Ryan Trask.
