France women's national baseball team
The France women's national baseball team is a national team of France and is controlled by the Fédération Francaise de Base-ball Softball et Cricket. It represents the nation in women's international competition. André Lachance, long-time manager of the Canadian women's national baseball team, was the team's manager in their first event, the 2019 European Women's Baseball Championship. The inaugural team's biggest name was Mélissa Mayeux, who had played briefly in France's top league, Division I. Mayeux starred as France won the event, but so did Camille Foucher (Best Pitcher), Raina Hunter (Best Hitter) and Marjorie Brunel (MVP). They repeated in 2022 European Women's Championship but had a harder time of it, losing a game and facing a close call in the semifinals. This time, Coralie Guillemin was the MVP while Emma Patry and Cassandra Vigneau were other top contributors.
