Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Eduardo Villacis played nine seasons in the minors and one game in the big leagues. With the Kansas City Royals, he started a game against the New York Yankees on May 1, 2004, giving up five runs and taking the loss.
After playing for the Bridgeport Bluefish of the independent Atlantic League in 2006, Villacis retired and became a coach for the Casper Rockies. He came out of retirement to play with Switzerland's Bern Cardinals for 2011. He remained in Europe in 2012, signing with Spain's San Inazio club. He debuted on Opening Day, with 3 shutout innings of relief (2 K, 1 H) against El Llano.
Villacis returned to coaching with the VSL Cubs in 2015 and DSL Cubs 1 in 2016-2018.
