Biographical Information[edit]
Second baseman Doug Brady played briefly in the majors for the Chicago White Sox.
After attending Liberty University, Brady was selected by the White Sox in the 12th round of the 1991 amateur draft. He made his pro debut with the Utica Blue Sox that summer and steadily progressed through the Chicago organization. Playing for the AAA Nashville Sounds in 1995, he hit .298 with 5 home runs and 32 stolen bases and put together a 30-game hitting streak. He earned a September call-up to the Sox, hitting .190 in 12 big league games.
He remained in the White Sox system through 1997 but never made it back to the majors. He played for the Lotte Giants in the Korea Baseball Organization in 1998 and was with the Atlantic City Surf of the independent Atlantic League in 1999.
Brady later became a coach at a baseball school in Springfield, Illinois.
