Double-A Central
The Double-A Central was established in 2021 as part of the reorganization of Minor League Baseball into the Professional Development League. It was one of three AA sections of the League, the others being the Double-A South and the Double-A Northeast. It was largely made up of former teams of the Texas League, which played its last season in 2019. The league lasted one year as in 2022, it was re-rebranded as the Texas League.
