Biographical Information[edit]

Dorian Bouniol has played in French Division I and for the French national team.

He debuted for the Montpellier Barracudas in 2021, going 4-for-9 with a walk, run and a RBI. [1] He did not appear for Montpellier in the 2022 Federation Cup. [2] In the 2022 U18 European Championship, he did not see action but was on the French roster. [3] He was 0 for 1 for Montpellier that summer at age 16. [4]

In 2023, he became a regular infielder for the Barracudas, fielding .984 and hitting .343/.413/.433 with 19 runs in 20 games. He was 6th in average (between Yeixon Ruiz and Paolo Brossier), 8th in slugging (between Rios and Axel Amoros) and tied for second with triples as his team won their first title in years. [5] He was with France for the U23 European Championship but did not play. [6] He still made their squad for the 2023 European Championship. The 17-year-old debuted in their opener against defending champion the Netherlands. He pinch-hit for Félix Brown and struck out against former Orioles farmhand Wendell Floranus. His first hit came versus Ukraine. After replacing Dylan Gleeson at second base, he singled twice off Yevhenii Tkachenko. He was 2-for-4 with a run and a RBI for the Euros and handled one putout and one assist at second. [7]
