Biographical Information[edit]
Brother of Harold Reynolds and Larry Reynolds, Don Reynolds played outfield for the San Diego Padres in 1978 and 1979 as a teammate of Dave Winfield and Ozzie Smith. He appeared in 87 games of which 39 were in the field. Don had already been in the majors before his brother Harold was drafted in 1980.
Reynolds attended the University of Oregon, where his time there overlapped with that of Dave Roberts and Ray Smith. He was also the starting running back for the Oregon football team.
Reynolds was a coach for the Jackson Generals in 1991-1992, GCL Astros in 1993, Jackson again in 1994, Tucson Toros in 1995-1996, and Visalia Oaks in 2003, then moved to scouting for the Colorado Rockies in 2004. By 2008, Reynolds was a scout for the Atlanta Braves.
