Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Dominic Ficociello began his professional career in 2013. He was drafted twice, initially by the Detroit Tigers in 2010 and again by the Tigers in the 12th round of the 2013 amateur draft. The scout was Chris Wimmer.

After starting his career with a .253 batting average in 2013, he hit .275 in 2014 and slashed .293/.349/.415 in 2015 to earn Florida State League Mid-Season All-Star honors, an MiLB.com Organization All-Star selection and a MiLB Gold Glove selection. He was also chosen to play in the Arizona Fall League in 2015, for the Scottsdale Scorpions. His 2016 campaign was spent with the Double A Erie SeaWolves. In 123 games, he hit .248/.329/.348 with 5 homers and 38 RBIs. He repeated the level in 2017 and hit much better, with a batting average of .306 in 90 games. That earned him a mid-year promotion with the AAA Toledo Mud Hens, but he only hit .235 in 35 games to finish with a combined line of .288/.361/.418. In 2018, he was back at Erie and in 97 games hit .268/.348/.380, with 8 homers and 56 RBIs.
