Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Domingo Jimenez began his professional career in 2014 with the DSL Indians and played in the Cleveland Indians organization until 2018, never making it higher than Class A. He was a starter his first couple of seasons, but was used exclusively as a reliever after that. He had some success in 2016, when he put up an ERA of 1.83 in 19 games between the AZL Indians and Mahoning Valley Scrappers, but did not do as well his next two seasons. In 2018, he was 3-0, 4.63 in 6 games for the Lake County Captains of the Midwest League. He was presumably injured at that point and disappeared off the radar screen, his career apparently over.

He resurfaced in 2024, now aged 30, having signed with the newly-formed Hagerstown Flying Boxcars of the independent Atlantic League. In the team's inaugural game against the York Revolution on April 25th, he was part of a historic day. He took over in the 7th inning after former major leaguer Parker Markel had pitched six hitless innings, and he kept the no-hitter gong for two more frames, retiring all six batters he faced and striking out three in the process, before turning the ball over the Enrique Santana, who completed the combined no-hitter. Hagerstown won the game, 4-0.
