Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Diego Moreno played in the Texas Rangers minor league system from 2010-2015. Cedeno spent his career in the lower minors except for three games with the AAA Round Rock Express in 2015. Over his six minor league seasons, Cedeno hit .262/.363/.311 while appearing in 305 games. In 2017, he played for the Normal CornBelters of the independent Frontier League. He completed his playing career in 2019/2020 with the Navegantes del Magallanes of the Venezuelan League.

Cedeno joined the San Diego Padres organization in 2022 as a bench coach for the DSL Padres. The next year he was initially named a hitting coach for the same squad before the Padres decided to field two Dominican Summer League teams. Cedeno was the Padres' choice to manage the new DSL Padres Gold team. He took over as manager of the DSL Padres Brown in 2024 where he remained in 2025.
