Dennis Womack

Dennis Womack was a college coach.
Womack played baseball and basketball in junior college then was an All-Southeastern Conference outfielder in 1969. He was assistant coach at Auburn then became head coach of the University of Virginia in 1981. He held that role for 23 years, going 594-605-7. He was Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year in 1985 and set a Virginia school record for wins. His products included Ryan Zimmerman, Mark Reynolds, Javier Lopez, Brian Buchanan, Seth Greisinger, Joe Koshansky, Doug Johns, Pat Daneker, Frank Lankford and Bob Malloy.
