Biographical Information[edit]

Denis Pakši has played for the Slovakian national team.

In the 2017 European Championship U23, he hit .250/.375/.417 with 4 RBI in 5 games, fielding .917. He was second on Slovakia in RBI, behind Michal Puškár. [1] In the 2018 Federations Cup, he was 1 for 6 with a RBI for Apollo Bratislava but fielded .750. [2] In the 2019 B-Level European Championship, he batted .167/.353/.167 with four walks in four games, fielding .867. [3]

In the 2021 European Championship Qualifier, he had a three-hit game against Finland. For the event, he hit .455/.538/.545 with 3 runs in 3 RBI while handling 12 chances error-free at short. Only Martin Brunegraf had more hits for the team as Slovakia qualified for their first European Championship. [4] Unfortunately for Denis, the 2021 European Championship did not go as smoothly. He drew a walk from the Dutch national team's Jayden Gonesh his first time up but was 0 for 14 with a walk the rest of the way for the worst oh-fer of those Euros (including 0 for 6 in an extra-inning loss in the 15th/16th place game against France; Sam Boermans and Nolan Soliveres were 0 for 13. Playing short and third, he fielded .786, with 3 errors. [5]
