David Korber

David Korber pitched one inning for the Austrian national team in the 2007 European Championship, the second frame against the Netherlands. Relieving Clemens Cichocki with a 8-0 deficit, he began by walking Raily Legito. Greg Halman and Danny Rombley singled to make it 9-0, then Korber threw a wild pitch to score Halman. Mike Duursma hit a sacrifice fly. Roger Bernadina cracked a solo homer. Hainley Statia singled, then Yurendell de Caster hit into an error by 3B Jan Machian. Sharnol Adriana singled home Statia and Korber threw another wild pitch. He walked Sidney de Jong on four pitches. After letting 8 of the first 9 reach, he recovered to fan Legito and get Halman to fly out. He wound up the event with Austria's worst ERA.
