Danny DiPace won a batting title at A ball but never got beyond AA. He later scouted for decades. His son Dan DiPace also reached AA and appeared in the Olympics.

Danny signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1963. He hit .263/.358/.383 with 24 steals in 32 tries for the 1964 Salisbury Dodgers. In '65, he moved to the Minnesota Twins chain and batted .333/?/.465 for the Wisconsin Rapids Twins to win the Midwest League batting title by 24 points. He beat out over two dozen future major leaguers, including Joe Rudi, Sal Bando and Nate Colbert. DiPace hit .329/.417/.441 for the 1966 Wilson Tobs. He outhit teammate Rod Carew by 37 points and would have been second in the Carolina League had he qualified (falling 26 plate appearances shy), .001 behind Jose Calero and .001 ahead of Manny Sanguillen.

DiPace put up a line of .270/.358/.376 for the 1967 Charlotte Hornets. He split 1968 between Wilson (.246/.365/.412) and Charlotte (.233/.315/.352). Danny joined the Chicago White Sox organization in 1969 and batted .224/.353/.287 with 82 walks for the Columbus White Sox, 10 free passes behind Southern League pacesetter Bobby Brooks. He ended his playing career in the 1970 Carolina League, going 7 for 57.

DiPace was an associate scout for the Montréal Expos from 1985-1991 and the Atlanta Braves from 1996 through at least 2010. He was a coach for the 2000 Aberdeen Arsenal, 2002 Allentown Ambassadors, 2005 Long Beach Armada, 2007-2008 Orange County Flyers and 2010 Victoria Seals. He managed the Pacific Association's San Rafael Pacifics in 2014.
