Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Dan Denham was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the first round of the 2001 amateur draft, with the 17th overall pick. He was signed by scout Paul Cogan and made his pro debut that summer. He pitched six seasons in their organization, reaching the AAA level with the Buffalo Bisons in 2005 and 2006.

Denham began the 2000 season pitching in the Oakland Athletics organization but ended it in the Cincinnati Reds system, where he went 3-1 with a 4.61 ERA for the Sarasota Reds. Denham spent 2008-2009 in the Los Angeles Angels' chain before retiring.

His brother, outfielder Jason Denham, was selected by the Indians in the 2004 amateur draft and played in the Indians' chain through 2008.
