Cooper Farris

Cooper Farris was a college coach and Summer Collegiate Baseball manager. He was head coach at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for 20 years, 1990-2009. Cooper replaced his father Ken "Curly" Farris as head coach and led the Bulldogs to 698 wins and two state titles. He took his team to the 1991 NJCAA Baseball World Series. Major leaguers who played for coach Farris at Gulf Coast include Matt Lawton, Fred Lewis and Tony Sipp.

Cooper's career as a summer collegiate manager started in 1996 with the Harrisonburg Turks of the Valley Baseball League, where in five seasons he won 104 games and a VBL championship. He then moved on to the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League, winning three league titles and 262 games over 14 years.
