Biographical Information[edit]
Fred Lewis was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 2nd round of the 2002 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Tom Korenek and made his pro debut that summer.
Lewis hit for the cycle on May 13, 2007 in just his 16th career game, completing the cycle with a 7th-inning single in what was only his 24th career at-bat. While Gary Ward hit for the cycle in his 14th big league game, it is believed that Fred Lewis' feat took place within the fewest number of big league at-bats.
