Cloudbusters
The Cloudbusters team represented the US Navy's Pre-Flight School in Chapel Hill, NC. In the summer of 1943, Ted Williams, Johnny Sain, Johnny Pesky, Joe Coleman, Dusty Cooke and Buddy Gremp played for the Cloudbusters team. Their schedule of 25-30 games included games against other bases, industrial teams and also included an exhibition at Yankee Stadium against a combination of Yankees and Indians (called as the Yanklands), managed by Babe Ruth to benefit war-relief and the Red Cross.
