Claudio Scerrato

Claudio Scerrato pitched for the Italian national team in the 1973 European Championship (Silver Medal), 1974 Amateur World Series and 1977 European Championship (Gold Medal). Unfortunately, the historic stats section of the Italian Baseball and Softball Federation was removed a few years ago (as of May 2022) so his statistics for the Italian team and in domestic play are hard to come by. Going off information from other pages we created before those stats vanished, he won an ERA title in 1971 (2.11) and was second in wins in 1976.

He later was pitching coach for Nettuno and also managed them in the 2014 Italian Baseball League and 2014 European Cup. He coached for Italy in the 2016 European Junior Championship. He was a European scout for the Philadelphia Phillies, signing Ludovico Coveri and Anton Kuznetsov.
