Biographical Information

Chung-Yao Wang played in the CPBL for 2 years.

Wang was signed by the Sinon Bulls in 1999, and he played 77 games with a .165/.189/.181 batting line in his rookie year. He allowed 102 steals as a catcher, and that was still the CPBL record as of 2023. When Chun-Chang Yeh joined the team in 2000, Wang was released and he signed with the Brother Elephants. However, he struggled again as his batting line was .200/.273/.200, then he announced his retirement. He coached Tung Shih High School from 2002 to 2009, and he was the battery coach for the Elephants from 2009 to 2013.

Overall, Wang had hit .166/.192/.182 with 41 hits in 2 seasons in the CPBL.
