Biographical Information[edit]
Chun-Chiang Kao was a 2-time All-Star in the CPBL.
Kao was selected by the Chinatrust Whales in the second round of the 2004 CPBL Draft, and he dominated the minor league in 2005. He hit .364/.427/.576 with 3 homers, and he led the league in batting, hits, RBI and homers. The Whales promoted him in 2006, and he hit .236/.312/.345 in his rookie year. Kao was also selected into the 2006 CPBL All-Star Game, and he was 1-for-2. He improved to .301/.404/.436 with 7 homers in the 2007 season, and he had a 1-for-2 record with a double in the 2007 CPBL All-Star Game. Kao recorded a.262/.341/.369 in 41 games in 2008, then he was involved in a game-fixing scandal and the league banned him for life.
Overall, Kao hit .273/.363/.394 with 194 hits, 34 doubles and 14 homers in 3 seasons in the CPBL.
