Biographical Information[edit]

Chris Seddon was drafted out of high school by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 5th round of the 2001 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Fred Repke and made his pro debut that summer. Seddon's career in the U.S. lasted from 2001-2012. He was a starting pitcher in the minors for most of his career, but made appearances in the major leagues with the Florida Marlins (2007), Seattle Mariners (2010), and Cleveland Indians (2012) when he pitched mostly in relief.

Once his major league career ended, Seddon went to South Korea and Japan for four years. He began with the SK Wyverns in the Korea Baseball Organization. He went 14-6 that year with a 2.98 ERA. In 2014, Seddon moved to Japan and played for the Yomiuri Giants in the Central League. He went 4-5 with a 4.67 ERA in 10 appearances with the Giants. He returned to the Wyverns for two more years during which he went 12-10 with a 5.18 ERA. He also pitched for the Lamigo Monkeys and Fubon Guardians in the CPBL in 2015 and 2017, respectively.

Seddon became a pitching coach with the Inland Empire 66ers in 2018.
