Biographical Information[edit]

Chien-Hsun Chang played in the CPBL for 6 years.

Chang represented Taiwan in the 1988 World Junior Championship and the 1989 World Junior Championship. The Jungo Bears signed him in 1993, and he hit .195/.223/.214 in his rookie year. Chang struggled at the plate in his whole career, as he only hit .149/.237/.179 in 1995 then .204/.232/.255 in 1996 and .229/.266/.290 in 1997. He was selected into the 1998 CPBL All-Star Game, and he was 0-for-2. Chang ended up hitting .194/.234/.211 in 1998, and he recorded a .200/.238/.300 in the 1998 Taiwan Series. The Sinon Bulls (the Bears had changed their name) were beaten by the Wei Chuan Dragons in 7 games. Chang jumped to the Mercuries Tigers in 1999, but he hit .239/.287/.269 in 81 games. The Tigers were expelled after the 1999 season, and Chang's career ended.

Overall, Chang hit .208/.250/.240 with 204 hits and 20 doubles in 6 seasons in the CPBL.
