Biographical Information[edit]

Cheng-Han Wu played in the TML and the CPBL.

Wu was selected by the Taipei Gida in the first round of the 2000 TML draft. The talented outfielder showed his hitting skill in his rookie year, batting .305/.386/.444 with 22 stolen bases. He won the Best Ten, CPBL Gold Glove and the Rookie of the Year awards. He also was selected into the All-Star game in this year. Wu's stats declined in 2001, as he only batted .230/.355/.309 and didn't have any home runs. He bounced back a little in 2002 with a .277/.372/.361 batting line.

When the two leagues merged in 2003, Wu rediscovered his hitting condition, as he recorded a .282/.376/.378 batting line and was selected into the All-Star again. However, he never had any effective season after then, as his batting average fell to .214 the next year. When he recorded a 1-fot-17 in the beginning of the 2005 season, the Cobras released Wu, and ended his career. Wu then served as defense coach for the DMedia T-Rex in 2008, and became a umpire in the CPBL from 2012 to 2013. He is a high school coach now (2023).

Overall, Wu had hit .263/.361/.359 in seven seasons in the CPBL and TML.
