Carora, Lara
Carora was founded in 1569, making it one of the oldest cities in Venezuela; it is located 50 miles west of Barquisimeto, Lara. It has been home to a couple of Venezuelan League teams in the past. Romulo Sánchez was the first major leaguer born here.
