Biographical Information[edit]

Carlos Rojas was a minor league pitcher.

Rojas was signed by Chicago Cubs scout Hector Ortega. He was 3-3 with four saves and a 4.08 ERA for the VSL Cubs/Twins. He was 5th in the Venezuelan Summer League in games pitched (24) and tied for 6th in saves. He came to the US with the 2008 AZL Cubs, going 2-1 with 3 saves and a 4.57 ERA in 18 games. With the same team in 2009, he fell to 1-4, 5.58. He was 3-2 with a 4.89 ERA in 23 games for the 2010 Boise Hawks to finish his minor league career at 9-10 with 7 saves and a 4.73 ERA in 81 games.

He began his Venezuelan Winter League career that winter with the Caribes de Anzoátegui, allowing 5 runs in 3 1/3 IP. He was 0-2 with a 6.92 ERA for the team in 2012-2013. In 2013-2014, he was 5-0 with a 3.41 ERA in 28 games, tying Jean Toledo, Mitch Lively and Pedro Rodriguez for 6th in the league in wins. He tied Rodriguez for 10th in appearances. In 2014-2015, he allowed two runs in 5 2/3 IP. He pitched 1 1/3 shutout innings for the 2015-2016 Caribes.

Rojas became a coach with the DSL Cubs 2 in 2017 and Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 2018.
