Biographical Information

Pitcher Carlos Gomez began his professional career in 2009 after being signed by the New York Mets on October 8, 2008. The scouts were Rafael Perez, Ismael Cruz and Sandy Rosario.

He pitched for the VSL Mets in 2009, going 0-0 with a 6.11 ERA in nine relief appearances. With the DSL Mets 1 in 2010, he was 7-2 with a 1.47 ERA in 15 games (13 starts) And in 2011, with the GCL Mets, he was 0-1 with a 1.59 ERA in eight relief appearances. He didn't pitch in 2012, but was 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in five games (three starts) for the Kingsport Mets in 2013. Through the end of 2013, he was 9-3 with a 1.87 ERA in 37 games (16 starts). He didn't pitch again in 2014, but was listed on Kingsport's roster to begin 2015.
