Team History[edit]
The Canton Crocodiles filled a void in Canton, as their former team the Canton-Akron Indians had moved to a new ballpark in Akron, OH and became the Akron Aeros. The Crocodiles began with strong support from fans bringing in over 75,000 in their first year. The numbers soon started going down and in their final year they drew less than 30,000. Following the 2001 season the club moved to Washington, PA and became the Washington Wild Things
