Biographical Information

Pitcher Bubbie Buzachero was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 23rd round of the 2002 amateur draft. He made his pro debut that summer with the Medicine Hat Blue Jays, going 1-0 with a 3.83 ERA in 26 appearances. He recorded 13 saves for the Auburn Doubledays in 2003 and saved 25 games the next year with the Dunedin Blue Jays, earning a Florida State League All-Star selection.

After four years in the Jays organization, Buzachero was traded to the Cleveland Indians for Brian Tallet in early 2006. He went 8-3 with a 2.72 ERA in 49 games for the Akron Aeros that summer.

Buzachero starred in the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League. In 2006-2007, his 14 saves tied Brian Wilson for the league lead, then he tied Bill Simas for the lead (10) in 2009-2010. Through 2018, he was 5th in league history with 44 saves, trailing Saul Rivera, Fernando Cabrera, Jose Alberro and J.C. Romero. He played for the Austrian Baseball League Kaufstein Vikings in 2012 and the Australian Baseball League Melbourne Aces from 2011 to 2013.
