Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Brian Snyder was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the first round of the 2003 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Kelly Heath and made his pro debut that year with the Vancouver Canadians, hitting .253 in 44 games. He played with the Kane County Cougars the next season and batted .311 with 13 homers and 61 RBIs. However, he was limited to just one game, at the Rookie level, in 2005. Splitting 2006 between the Midland Rockhounds and the Stockton Ports, he hit .249 with 9 home runs in 111 contests. He was with Midland in 2007 and hit .254 with 8 homers to earn a spot on the Texas League All-Star team.
